That sound great! One more thing, I don't know if you have thought about this already, but having there be some way to standardise car models in a tournament would be great. Having them all be different models can break the fun and there are some models that i just don't wanna race with that much. I know it can be changed in the custom tourney, but having that in the future tournament mode is a must for me.

join us next week for "useless facts with sherrifcubic", the most annoying show on the internet

holy hell, theres no way you're real

none of these actually improve the game experience and distract from improving the game with new missions, trains, maps and mechanics. Not to mention this is an indie game, not a triple-a game which has resources to spend on having a fucking porter. if you want a game which could have those sorts of features, play a tycoon game or a game like Train Sim World

how hard is it to use the comment section for actual fucking comments

after some deep pondering, only thing i would ask is for a particle or quality reducer thing(?). something to reduce the amount of particles in the rain and blossoms or the pixels overall (i know nothing about game development so sorry if its vague) so that you customize it to make performance better. the other thing is that after the podium cutscene, when i try to go to the garage, it just freezes and buffers. I then have to force quit the game to get it back to working again. I dunno if this is just a problem i am having or if it is terminal.

Great work on this game! Really fun to play, as well as challenging enough to keep you trying. The different cars, tracks and having to deal with strategy are great features that aren't in many free indie racers, and are usually not executed as well as they are in this one. It runs pretty well, even on my decade old macbook air. excited to see the future update with all the new features!

are you sherrif's alt bro? you talk exactly the same way, have the same ideas, and have just as an inflated ego

oh my bad, i missed that. Do you know how to add tracks, the tutorial appears, but when I add other tracks, nothing turns up. I've gone into the files and put the .pck files in. they appear in the content section, but not in the play section. Any clue how to fix this? other people seem to have the same problem and aren't getting any help.

Pretty sure this game isn't updated or followed anymore, but just to note in case anyone sees, the game doesn't load anything. Only the tutorial map and route works, but nothing else does :(

Because the dev is from the post soviet area. Plus I don't think many people are actively pushed away from the game because there aren't trains from their own country. Also, the game isn't intended to be realistic, at no point is that even vaguely suggested, why do you insist it is, part of the fun of the game now is that you can do unrealistically fast, on maps that aren't real places.

Really like the game, probably one of the best PICO-8 and schmup projects I've played in a bit. Love the designs of the ships and enemies, as well as the backdrop. I really like the variety of attacks and the simple controls. Backing up what Marty_DYR said, the yellow enemy fire can be hard to notice amongst the fire from the player so that may be something you may want to change?

Also did you make the music or did someone else, and do you know of any other music they have made?

no npcs please, its an unrealistic and wasteful idea stupid

stfu

Love the new mission. Keep up the good work!

god you're an obnoxious kid

we've talked about this before but these are not great ideas. They are purely aesthetic and barely increase the quality of the game. Its a better investment to spend time making new maps, trains and missions than to just have walking npcs. its a waste of time and most importantly, frames. Low end computers will struggle the more things you add, so you may as well add helpful things

i don't think its a negative thing to add, its just that you have to be realistic. I would expect that out of a big box studio who has tons of people working on the project. This is an indie game with one person working on it. There are better things that change the experience more than some aesthetic shit like porters. it would waste time and take frames away from us. be realistic.

mf stop spamming. dev can just search up our rail network, you don't need to post 1000 images.

holy shit bro just put everything in one post. And its a project being worked on by one person. Be realistic in what you want, porters, conductors and baggage will barely change the enjoyability of the game and instead just ruin our frames. I do agree on the first person pov and city ideas though.

oh wait nvm there are other maps im just blind

I love the new update with the steam train, hump yard, and expansions of free play! I do suggest adding some of the maps from the missions into free play (like the steam/hump yard one). Keep up the great work mate!

Remember, this is an indie game, there are so many things here that are just going to destroy frames, take ages to make and not make the game better. More trains, and an interior angle are very cool, but everything else is just going to take time, suck frames and barely increase the enjoyability of the game.

Mate, its just a fun indie game. Don't expect something that looks like its from a massive company, it already looks pretty good. Much of the time they could spend working on your minute aesthetic and/or needless suggestions could be spent on other aspects. There's no need to be so unnecessarily critical.

I love this game! Its really engaging, straightforward and surprisingly challenging. One of the best browser games I've played. I really thank you for making this and highly recommend it.

 As some constructive criticism,
I would suggest making the free play mode a bit more extensive. Giving more gamemodes, trains and maps would be great! 4.6/5
